Diabetes Medication Metformin May Double to Fight Cancer

Good news for type 2 diabetics taking metformin: The drug may reduce the growth of tumors, in addition to its effect on blood sugar! Human studies showed that metformin reduced the growth of both prostate and pancreatic cancers, while animal studies with other types of cancer showed similar results.
